- The big question addressed in the lab and a description of what you did.
- Evidence of Climate Change and how we can help fix it. We read 5 articles that backed the claim that Climate change is real and happening. We then wrote on white boards what we learned from each article, a question we have, and then how we can back up the claim from each article.
- A description of what you learned in Thursday's lecture.
- Answer questions about the weekly textbook reading:
- What did you learn?
- I learned the difference between climate and weather in this week's reading. Climate refers to the long-term patterns and averages of temperature, precipitation, and other conditions in a specific region. In contrast, weather refers to the short-term variations in these conditions. Understanding this difference is important because climate change refers to shifts in long-term climate patterns, which is what we need to start teaching about. At the same time, weather events such as storms or heatwaves are temporary fluctuations that can occur within the broader context of climate. By teaching the difference between climate and weather, we can better understand the impacts of our activities on our planet's overall climate system.
- What was most helpful?
- The most helpful thing from this week's reading was the L.O.W.E.R. Near Water box because it explained well what factors determine whether an area has a hot or cold climate.
- What do you need more information on?
- Something I'd like more information on is why isn't solar energy more popular?
- What questions/concerns/comments do you have?
- none
