  1. The big question addressed in lab, and a description of what you did.
    1. This week in the lab, the main topic of discussion revolved around climate change: its causes, exacerbating factors, and potential solutions. We delved into how human activities contribute to this global crisis and explored strategies for helping its impact.
  2. A description of what you learned in Thursday's lecture.
    1. Exam day
  3. Answer questions about the weekly textbook reading:
    1. What did you learn?
      1. This week, I learned the difference between Chemical and Mechanical weathering. Chemical weathering is the breakdown of rocks and minerals through chemical reactions, such as oxidation or hydrolysis. This process changes the composition of the rock and can result in the formation of new minerals. On the other hand, mechanical weathering is the physical breakdown of rocks into smaller pieces without changing their chemical composition. This can occur through frost wedging, root growth, or abrasion from wind and water.
    2. What was most helpful?
      1. The most helpful thing from the readings this week was the practice tests at the end of the chapters because they helped me prepare for the exam this week.
    3. What do you need more information on?
      1. Something I'd like more information on would be about the density of geodes and the 2.7 number that was mentioned on the exam.
    4. What questions/concerns/comments do you have?
      1. none
